Mission: To design and create innovative theater and art using sustainable materials and studio practices.

Paper Mâché Monkey is a New York-based art studio specializing in sustainable design and fabrication of custom props, sculpture, scenery, and specialty environments for theater, television, and events, concerts and environments.

Founded by Grady Barker and Meghan Buchanan in 2010, the team works closely with clients to conceive and craft an eclectic array of projects.  Most notably, PMM created the set dressing and props for the 2012 Best Scenic Design Tony Award winning play "Peter and the Star Catcher," as well as the Radio City New York Spectacular and the Tony Nominated shows "Merchant of Venice" and "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson."  The studio fabricated specialty scenery for rock concerts such as Mike Gordon of Phish, as well as building custom sculptures and murals for Post-it, Unilever, Unicef, and many NYC Event companies.

Paper Mâché Monkey Art and Design Studio is happy to lend its unique design and handcrafted skill set to the arts and theater scene in New York City.  For more information on services that the studio can provide, please
